Eligibility: Volunteers must be 14 years or older to volunteer. They must also sign an agreement form along with a parent/guardian.
Volunteer Time: A Volunteer is responsible for signing in upon arrival at the library and keeping track of their volunteering hours.
Community Service Forms: These must be requested by the volunteer well in advance of the due date for school, honor societies, religious groups, etc. (This excludes court-mandated community service.)
In Case of Emergency, Sickness, or Lateness: If a volunteer cannot come in, they must call the library and speak with a librarian letting them know they will not be in. (If Homework Help, call the parent/guardian.)
Teens interested in helping children in grades K-5 with homework and reading can apply to volunteer. You will be paired with a child and will meet weekly at the Main or Branch Library while coordinating with the child’s parent/guardian. You will first be contacted to set up an orientation meeting at the library.
