How do I volunteer at the Library?

Teen Volunteers
Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age and have a valid Mount Pleasant Library Card.

Homework Help
Teens interested in helping children in grades K-6 with homework and/or reading skills can register to be a volunteer.
You will be paired up with a child and will individually schedule meetings with the child's parents at the Main Library in Pleasantville or Branch Library in Valhalla during the school year.

MPPL Techies (This program will resume in September 2017)
Do you know how to download Apps? Use Microsoft Office? Send email?
Help others use their phones, tablets, ereaders and laptops to download free library apps onto their digital devices.
If you are tech savvy and would like to share your skills with the community, volunteer some time at the library this year and earn community service hours.

YA Advisory Group
Young Adults interested in contributing to the creation of YA Programs and developing the collection of YA materials and webpages are welcome to join a new YA Advisory Group. We would like to get a group together to meet regularly at the library to brainstorm, design and host programs. We would like to to hear what YOU would be interested in seeing at your library! (ages 12+)
