Sign Up:         Begins June 5.   Sign up for reading program and Kick-off Event.

Kick-Off:         Friday, June 23 at 1:00pm or 2:30 pm, your choice, to see Linda Richards present And the Green Grass Grows (see below).

Reporting:     June 26 through August 5

Kick-Off Program (June 23) Main Library. Linda Richards presents And the Green Grass Grows. Join Linda in a musical tour of our fine planet – with exuberant participation possibilities and totally singable choruses! For children ages 4 and older.

There will be two shows and sign up is required:

  • Timed Reading Record – Each child will be given a reading record with 50 stickers. Time spent reading should be recorded by adding a mini sticker for each 20 minute increment.
  • Build a Rainbow Fish! – Add a sparkling scale to the Rainbow Fish display each time you visit the library.
  • Prizes – Pizza, frozen yogurt, activities and more will be raffled off weekly. Get a raffle ticket each time you visit the library and have added a new sticker(s) to your reading record for reading 20 minutes or more since your last visit.
  • Grand Prize Raffle – You may win a Kindle Fire kid’s edition! The more you read the more chances you’ll have to win. The winner will be chosen from all raffle tickets submitted during the program and announced at the end of the program.

Comics Plus - Borrow and download comic books using your library card number

TumbleBooks - An online collection of animated, talking picture books, reading comprehension quizzes, educational games and teacher resources

Biblioteca Tumblebooks - son libros animados, con ilustraciones que hablan, para enseñar a losniños los placeres de la lectura en un formato que les encantará.
