Museum of Interesting Things
The Museum of Interesting Things is an interactive traveling exhibition of antiques and inventions.
The 1960’s were not just the summer of 8 track tapes, the Beatles and hippies. So much history transpired that shaped our current world. Take a tour with The Museum of Interesting Things from fun things to historic things. The Museum will take you to the Moon and back, sometimes you will sing and dance and sometimes you will mourn the passing of the American Camelot. We will show and talk about some of the inventions from that era as well as some of the defining moments. All the while you will get front row tickets to ride on a Magical Mystery Tour that will be like a World’s Fair. http://museumofinterestingthings.org/
The Creation of Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
2017 is the 50th anniversary of the record that changed Rock n’ Roll! Arguably the most famous Beatles album, Sgt. Pepper saw the band transition from mere pop stars to revered, serious artists. How did they create their landmark album? Clive Young, Editor-In-Chief of recording industry magazine Pro Sound News, takes apart the album, track-by-track, and explores the iconic album cover to show how it all came together. http://cliveyoung.com/2017/01/30/magic-movies-music-three-new-library-programs-for-2017/
Spoiler Alert: The Library will not be a quiet place today. We will be celebrating.
